We started in 1952 at what was then known as the Oak Avenue Church of the Nazarene in Duncan, and we've been helping spread God's good news and the message of Holiness locally and throughout the world through our regular church activities and bye supporting missionaries since that time. We pray that God will continue to use us as a congregation.
Whether you've been attending church for years or haven't stepped into a sanctuary in decades, we hope you'll come and join us Sunday if you're looking for a church to call your own.
When you visit us for the first time, one of our greeters will be glad to help you feel comfortable. If you'd like, they'll help you find the nursery, restrooms, sanctuary, and of course coffee and refreshments as you enter before the morning worship service.
During the service, you'll hear our faith expressed in the songs we sing, prayers we offer up and our pastor's preaching. All parts of our service are grounded in the Bible, which we are committed to upholding. We sing hymns of the church as well as modern worship songs and choruses. Our worship team strives to find a balance that is uplifting and that makes it enjoyable to participate in corporate worship.
After the service, give us a chance to get to know each other. Say hello to our pastor, his wife and anyone else you see. We'd all love to hear your story and share ours with you.
No matter what your Christian background is (or isn't), we hope you'll join us on Sunday. Here at Heritage Oaks, you'll find people of all ages, backgrounds, and stages of spiritual growth and we welcome everyone--including you. Sunday School is at 9:30, the Worship Service starts at 10:30 every Sunday. We gather at 5:30 on the first and last Wednesday of the month for a Fellowship Meal, and there is a Bible Study every Wednesday at 6:00. Youth and Kingdom Kids also meet at that time.
