Dear Church Family, My name is Carl Underwood, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my brother, James Michael “Mikey” Underwood. James is currently facing a serious medical crisis involving cancer and recent hospitalization. Because of this, he has lost his ability to work and is now struggling to cover basic needs like rent, utilities, food, and transportation to medical appointments. We are asking for any help your church may be able to provide, including prayer, guidance, would mean a great deal to our family. James is doing everything he can to focus on recovery, but this situation has become overwhelming without outside help. Thank you for your time, compassion, and prayers.

Pray for my friend Anthonr Lauderdale. Hos cancer jas returned for the 3rd time. He is a believer. He is staying near OU Medical. They removed a portion of his white blood cells and filled them with protein. They are now putting them back into his body to fight the cancer but he is still undergoing chemo in the mean time. He has a wife and two children who desperately need him. All of them are staying in a hotel during this process. He is on disability already. Just pray for him to have spiritual, mental, and physical strength. I’m sure their finances aren’t great either because neither one is able to work. Pray for their finances. This man already has a great testimony and the 1st time he had cancer they told him he’d never have children. He now has a beautiful 5 year old. It’s also probably rough on the kids staying in a hotel for 6 weeks or so also. Just pray for all of them in this sweet family.

Please pray for spiritual guidance and consistency. Please pray for spiritual and physical healing.

Please pray for calm times for family. Going through troubled waters.

I’ve just graduated with my MA in English Language Teaching (TESOL). Pray that the Lord leads, guides and directs me as I apply for English teaching positions overseas. Pray that the Lord directs me to the right school or university in the country He is leading me to. Pray that I will grow professionally as an English teacher, but more importantly, that I will be in a context where I can wholeheartedly serve the Lord in missions. Pray that I will grow as a missionary, learn the local language, and support the Great Commission according to my gifts. Pray that many will be covering me in prayer for clear direction and the right open door. Thanks you.

I have just graduated with my MA in English language teaching (TESOL). First, please pray for good employment during these months before I go overseas to teach English. Pray for solid employment that will be a blessing, and will give me the time and energy outside work to apply for international teaching positions and plan this move wisely. Pray for a smooth transition overseas. Pray that God will give me complete confidence in His purpose, path and direction for my life, and for wisdom and clarity in applying for the right overseas teaching position. Thank you so much!

This fall (2025), I’m completing my practicum—the final course for a master’s degree in teaching English to non-native speakers (MA TESOL)—at a church in Charlotte, NC. I’m so thankful to God for providing all the funding, as the GI bill covered the first year, and my parents are covering the rest through inheritance money. Pray that God will help me to thank Him and honor Him highly for this generosity by giving Him the first and best—Pray for God’s wisdom in calculating everything this degree costed until graduation, to give Him 10% or more out of my own ability, and wisdom in where to give this thank offering. This is not much, as most people pay college loans for years! Pray that I will honor God and my parents by stewarding my money and time well and completing my studies with excellence! Thanks.

I'm asking for prayer for my friend Mike. He had a really bad Covid at the height of the pandemic and we were praying for him. He was sent home then relapsed but pulled through again. He has now been diagnosed with cirrhosis due to "long covid" they think because he has never been a drinker. Please keep Mike in your prayers 🙏

Please pray for my friends pastor of Wesleyan Methodist Church. He had hip surgery about 3 weeks ago. He had been having shortness of breath. This morning he could not get a deep breath and is in afib. This Church has prayed for me throughout my illness. We know God hears and answers our prayers.

Please pray that the treatment that will be done this week, will go well and that the side effects are better than the last time. Also pray that I am able to return to church on Easter Sunday or earlier.

Please keep me in your prayers, since the loss of my dear loving husband I have cried every day, I miss him so. Satan does not want me to be happy and he is doing everything he can to steal my JOY and I can't let him do it. I deal with severe balance issues, but with GOD giving me Strength & courage I am pressing on towards the goal, AMEN!!!! THANKS for your Prayers 🙂
